ReGhost.NET makes a stir

19 01 2006

It looks as though my ReGhost.NET project has caused quite a buzz within the SharePoint community, which is currently boasting over 330+ cumulative downloads.

You will find it listed on the german SharePoint Community site in the top 10 web parts and tools list (Die 10 neuesten Webparts und Tools).

Michael Greth was also kind enough to talk about the ReGhost.NET tool on his SharePoint Podcast which you can find over here.

Various other people including Angus Logan, Koby Parnell, MarcosT, Romeo Pruno, Shane Perran have all shown an interest in the application :)

You will also find it listed on the well respected WSSDemo site under sharepoint utilities.

Cool!

I hope it continues to bring value to everyone. Let me know if you have any questions regarding ReGhost.NET – all feedback welcome!

Keep up the good work.

I got a copy of ItPro today, on the main page I was suprised to see the feature as “SharePoint”.

In the ad ghosthunter was being displayed so this is an area of interest no doubt!

People need an easy and reliable way to see what is/isn’t ghosted, and re-ghost pages that need be. :)

Cheers, and good work!

Matthew,

The GDN site where you were hosting ReGhost.net has been taken offline but people trying to move from WSS v2 to WSS v3 still have a use for the tool. Do you have an alternate download location?

Do you still have this for download? Ever since the GDN page went down, I haven’t been able to find this great utility available anywhere.

Hi guys,

Really sorry about this!!!

When gotdotnet went down, I didnt find any time to host the application elsewhere.

A lot of people have been asking for it – so what I am going to do, is re-develop the application, and provide it as a download – I will give you all a link very shortly on my blog.

The next version will have a much better user interface.

Cheers,

Matthew Cosier
