Matthew Cosier Presenting – Victoria.NET SIG – Business Data Catalog

5 09 2007

On the 11th of September, I will be running a half-hour presentation on integrating MOSS search with the Business Data Catalog (BDC).

In this half-hour session Matthew Cosier from Readify will step you through the means of integrating external data with the Business Data Catalog, and exposing it via search. In particular he will take you through the process of writing a BDC web service, generating the application definition using the new Microsoft Business Data Catalog Definition Editor tool, and finally exposing the data to SharePoint search.”

I will be exposing some pretty interesting data to the crawler, something that developers will be interested in.  ;)
Come by and say hello.

  2. Want to show some love to your fellow office community / mingle with the crew
  3. Enjoy drinking from fire hoses (or learning a lot J)

Come see me present at the APAC SharePoint Conference in May!

27 03 2007

Just like Aaron, I too will be presenting at the APAC SharePoint Conference!

I will be presenting a 30 minute Cabana session on setting up alternate membership/role providers with a focus on the SqlMembershipProvider and the ASP.NET 2.0 membership controls.

I hope to make the session as informative, and developer oriented as possible.

If you are doing any work with MOSS – or you are just about to take the dive, then you should definitely be considering heading to the conference.

Be quick though, as these things will sell fast!

Big thanks to Angus for setting me up with this role! (no pun intended)
